It's tough work

Pushing the paint tray around for da da, but someone's gotta do it.  I just love this little guy's determination.  I mean he is on a mission.  Just like his daddy and I couldn't love him more for it.

Sleeping in.

7:25 this Monday AM and here is Jeez.  I know....of course it isn't Saturday or Sunday! :) He must have had a great weekend.  I sure did.

Pop or Bark? With a side of booty whoopings

Jeez had a few firsts this weekend.  First F-ball party, first taste of a steel city pop, first taste of a FIVE burger.  What wasn't a first was an MSU loss.and a BAMA Win. Par for the course right?  I was the only member of Team Jeffreys that stayed up to cheer on those Dawgs.  Man that one hurt. Who am I kidding they all hurt, but at the same time, we bounce right back. That's the good thing about being a State fan, you just never let it get you down b/c what good does that do?  I find myself rooting for BAMA during their games b/c let's be honest....these people get feisty when they don't win.  State fans piss and moan for a second and then hi-5 and belt out a good "Go to Hell Ole Miss" and then everything is back right in the world.  Bama- not so much.  So....I just like to see people happy, and also passionate about their team.  Don't get me wrong both of these teams are passionate, just in different ways.
Jonah did a fabulous job manning the cooler.

He LOVED all of these "new" toys and new "boys" to play with too.  No worries Jeez, you will be that big and playing flag f-ball soon..........or golf.  Let's go with golf.

And sometimes you cheer so hard you end of up on the floor.

Had a great time owning the park on Sunday.  He was in heaven.  How can he not be with free range of the world or bark with a sweet Merritt loving you on the side.

Pop or Bark?  #illtakethebarkmom

Sweet Sunday night date

Excuse the no-showered mommy.  I think a no shower is a sign of a good day. No time to get cleaned up while you are having too much fun enjoying life right?  #wemustliveecstatic
P.S. - how much is this one looking like his daddy?  Good thing he's a cutie ;)  Sometimes I just wonder how I got so lucky.

Giddy Up!

It was Western Day at school on Monday......I know, I'm not really sure either, but I was sure we weren't buying something new for this occasion that may or may not have included some real horsies.  I do know that on Jonah's daily report it said he "Listened to a Live Band" So in that case, Western Day was pretty awesome.  His first concert and mommy half A$$ed his Western Outfit.  We tried.  And now I realize this Southern boy totally needs some cowboy boots.  Tell me those wouldn't have completed this outfit.  I love his chucks and all but you can't really giddy up the same way as in boots.  Sorry Jeez, at least you got the plaid in.  Oh and the Southern Charm.  Please keep that always.

GO STATE XX GO STATE!

So every Friday is "Spirit Day" at school.  Jeez's school that is.  There are signs everywhere to wear AL gear (Or something else I guess) - yes, that's really what it says in small print.  Now, I know Jeez is growing up in Tuscaloosa, but I'm OLLready trying to teach him just how fun it is to be a State fan. Oh and Dare to be different right?  I feel like if you can grow up in Tuscaloosa a true MSU fan and bleed maroon and white - this should be setting you up to be one of the strongest individuals that can pretty much "Own It" - It as in anything in life, with the best of them.  So we are working on life skills too here you see.  Tomorrow is a HUGE game for State - against Auburn, so by default, the entire city of Tuscaloosa will also be State fans this weekend only.  Only they aren't "true" fans.  Jeez - you are a true fan, don't get confused today at school now.  Bama will be up against Texas A&M and where I do realize this is a big game for them, I still feel like MSU has the bigger task, bigger than stopping "Johnny F-ball"  Jeez if you are wondering who this is?  Just move right along it doesn't matter.  What does matter is how cute look today wearing your cowbell with pride.  Let's just take a look now at you cheering against Auburn last year vs. this year.  WOAH!

Also, future spoiler alert and pics coming soon - we are getting a new covered porch!! I call this our "Outdoor Oasis"
WHAT? Don't you totally think this is do-able?

*Sigh....dang pinterest .....Maybe One day right?  Anyways, Jonah has wanted to go outside and eat some nails supervise these guys the past two mornings.  He is about 2 inches away from being able to get himself  AYYYSIGH (outside).  I love these pics....and the look of true defeat.  You'll get em' one day Jeez.

We did have a fun game of peek-a-boo around the fridge this AM/ (Distraction from not getting ayyysigh)
So all was well after this.  Forgot to throw this little tidbit in here - My brother (Jonah's Paran) graduated from Auburn so in our fam......this is an even bigger game.  We definitely have a mutual respect for each others teams except for this one of course. SO until tomorrow's post on the outcome and pics of our game day fun.... "GO STATE...XX......GO STATE!"

Happy 13 months! And ...."1 month"!

WOW! I can't believe we have a 13 month old.  It's funny....pre-Jonah it would drive me nuts when I would ask a parent how old their child was and they would respond in "month" increments.  I can totally understand pre-1 b/c that's all you have, but after that? Is it necessary? I always wondered if they just liked watching someone like me counting on their hand to try and figure out how old this kid was and by this point do I even care? 1 or 3 you know? None of this 22 months business.  But now that I have my own child, I totally realize I'm going to be the same way.  3 people today actually asked me how old Jonah was today in which I responded with a proud "13 months" And then laughed on the inside b/c I wondered, are you annoyed? Well don't be b/c 13 months is an easy one. Wait for the 22. Anyways b/c it IS important right? Each month is so special and I get that now.  He's not just 1...he's 13 months!  Big difference right? ESP with this kid.  I feel like he has changed SO much in just one month from ONE to 13 months.  I only thought he was running hard before.  He's a sweaty, dirty, grimy, food-stained "ALL BOY" mess when he comes home. It's definitely safe to say he lives each of his days to the fullest no doubt.  And even more safe to say he has come so far in 1 year.  1 year ago Jeez, you were ONE Month old....the time it was completely acceptable to answer "He's one month"  so now let's just take a look at how far you have come.  Even though I can still remember taking these pics like it was literally last month, not last year.  I was still living on the new mom crazy high endorphins and everything was pure bliss.  I was living off of zero sleep and had just had surgery b/c my C-section scar had come open, but nothing mattered in the world besides you.  You and your perfect little self with our perfect little team :)  P.S. - we thought you were huge by this point ;)  So Happy 13th months Jeez, and Happy Anniversary to your one month throwback.

"Wake me Up"

Is one of my new favorite songs right now, but this was pretty fitting for a Monday.  Some mornings are just harder than others and this AM was one of them.  Jonah is about to outgrow his slimfits, *Sniff, our favorite PJ's.  Don't think I could love this kid anymore.

A Saintsational Sunday

What a day......Just one of those days you wouldn't mind repeating a few times.  No set plans that just ends up being a 'not only fun but "SUPER FUN" day.  Please forgive the massive amounts of photos on this one, but again, when you have a "Super fun" day, it automatically means a super amount of fun pics.  We went to the park where Jonah got to drive, slide for the first time, eat a sawdust buffet, see the river, the fun was endless and didn't stop there.

Since it was the first big NFL day, and an especially big day for the New Orleans saints, we headed over to Glory Bound to relax, kick back with our drinks and enjoy the 1st half.
Then we headed home to finish off the dirty birds teaching Jonah a few good f-ball phrases and hand gestures....."TOUCHDOWN" of course :)  We ended our day with a few good sprints in the backyard *Disclosure: we are not torturing our son, he evidently is just as psycho as his parents and loves to exercise ;), some old-fashioned swingin' and a grill out.  Perfect ending (well the chocolate moosetracks may have sealed the perfection on this day) to a Saintsational Sunday.

Come on Jonah....high knees ;)  Ok this pic really makes me laugh and love it all at the same time

Happiness & Sadness......all together now

I am waiting to organize our road trip pics to post OLL ( that's British for ALL) about our trip to the country for our family reunion.  We started off pretty rough, not gonna lie -Jas almost not making it past Jackson, MS.  But the trooper pulled through. And we had an amazing time.  Here is just a lil' pic of my complete happiness and sadness OLL in the same pic.  My first Pumpkin Spice Latte for Fall 2013.....and my sick hubby  :(  Seriously, if you have never had a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks, run now and get one. And then run around some more and take advantage of your caffeine high.  If you have never had a sick husband? Well.....just count your blessings because I think we all know why God only allows females to get prego right? ;)  Nothing but love for you Jas...and all things pumpkin.

Happy "Monday" Ya'll!

I know it's not Monday......but it sure feels like one.  This is how we started ours.  Well actually, this was the 2nd go around for this, so yeah, shame on Jonah the 1st time, shame on mommy the 2nd.  Well shame on Mommy both times honestly b/c this used to be Jonah's favorite pantry toy......when it wasn't opened yet.   Guess he didn't get the memo it's off limits after the seal has broken.  I also guess he didn't want eggs for breakfast.  He wanted oatmeal....obviously.  Check out those cheeks though, he looks like he may have stored a little oatmeal in them.  Thank goodness he's cute :)
