If the shoe fits.....

Make sure it actually fits.  OK so funny story.  Firstable, sorry about the blog slacking, only knowing that I am only disappointing myself, not all of my 2 readers.  And by the time Jonah ever even looks at this - if ever, he won't have the concept of the time spaced in between right? Exactly.  Back to the magic slipper.  So a couple of weeks ago Jonah's teacher called me at about 9:45 saying Jonah had NOT stopped crying since I left him.  She further explained (after I just knew it was b/c I had slammed his finger in the door when we got there and it was broken or something - see mom of the year already this particular AM) that it was his teeth. He was teething and his hands were in his mouth and he was just wanting to be held, etc. Asked if I could run some Motrin or something up there.  OK sure, no problem. Off I go to run in Rite Aid only to dash across town to enter into the saddest scene I have seen yet.  Jonah just sitting in the middle of the floor sobbing his eyes out. My heart just ached.  As soon as he saw me he threw his arms up and I scooped him up. He just put his head on my shoulder and immediately stopped crying.  I didn't know what was wrong.  Sweet thing never acted like this.  How many of you actually think I shot him up with some Motrin and went on my merry way back to work? Exactly..........So now you see my adorable new co-worker I have here who made himself quite at home.  It was still mind-blowing to me just how much he wanted to be held.  Not that Jonah isn't one for any love, but not the middle-of-the-day kind of snuggles.  Ain't nobody got time for that in his little go go go world.  Crazy thing is he was crawling around when he finally was "well" enough to go.  He crawled right into my boss' office where he found some balls (now we should be good right?) Anyways he plays a bit then comes back to me wanting to be snuggled some more and finally my parents came and picked him up so our office could get some work done.  He was smiling and of course confusing everyone.  Long story short......Grammy figured out after walking funny, that it was his shoe.  Yep - either his toes were curled funny, or it was rubbing funny, but he was NOT Happy in that shoe that seemed to fit.  Amy even later stated that after he crawled (should have been first clue) that he untied his shoe in her office, ha, poor thing was TRYING to tell someone! Anyways, he was perfectly fine and had a great rest of the day off :)  Wonder if he was faking? B/c you know what? That shoe totally does fit ;)  Not gonna lie, wish I could work like this everyday, at least for an hour right?
